AA Doering Endodontics, PLLC is a dental practice limited to endodontics, the specialty that deals with diseases and injuries of the dental roots and structures related there-to.

 

Our Mission is to provide a uniquely high level of specialty endodontics to the Grand Rapids, Michigan area in such a way as to work with like-minded colleagues and patients who value dental care delivered in a meticulous and thorough way at a specialty level along with a drive for successful outcomes.

Specialty practices receive patients who have been "referred" from general dentists and other specialists for root canal treatment. Our customers are not only the patients but also our colleagues who refer these patients. However, we often see patients for second opinions and we have many word-of-mouth referrals. 

 

Drs. Alan and Arthur Doering have both trained with the very best endodontists in the world throughout two different generations. They are both able to offer a traditional and modern approach to root canal problem solving.  Both Drs. Alan and Arthur are grateful for the opportunity to offer their experiences and skills to the greater West Michigan area.

Dr. Alan Doering is the current President for the Michigan Association of Endodontists. 

 

Dr. Arthur Doering is the Secretary and Continuing Education Chairmen for the Michigan Association of Endodontists.

 

Both Drs. Arthur and Alan Doering enjoy giving back to the profession through organized dentistry and volunteer work.  

 

Drs. Doering are proud to provide multiple levels of comfort during your root canal procedure. We provide nitrous oxide sedation, conscious oral sedation, and we also offer IV sedation. Please call our office for more information.

Doctors Profile

Dr. Arthur Doering received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Lyman Briggs College of Natural Science through Michigan State University. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Michigan. He then received a Fellowship (F.) in endodontics degree from the University of Florida. After this, he received a Masters in Science (M.S.) and Certificate from University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Arthur has since joined his father in private practice in the Grand Rapids area.

Dr. Alan Doering started his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Grand Rapids Community College and finished the degree at University of Kentucky where he also received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) degree. He then pursued advanced education in endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania where he received a Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in endodontics. He has since been in private practice for 35 years serving the Grand Rapids community. 

Both Drs. have been published on numerous articles in peer reviewed journals. Most recently, Dr. Arthur's Masters Thesis was published in the Michigan Dental Association Journal, October, 2014.

Dr. John Mullally has joined Root Canal Specialists. He is native to Muskegon and graduated with a Bachelor in Science (B.S.) from Hope College in 1989. He then spent time serving in the Peace Corps, teaching High School Biology in the Central African Republic for two years. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Mullally then completed a year-long General Practice Residency (G.P.R.) at Bethesda Naval Hospital and practiced General Dentistry in the United States Navy for four years. After completing his Naval Service, he returned to University of Maryland to specialize in Endodontics and obtain a Masters of Science Degree (M.S.) in 2002. He has been in Endodontic Private Practice in Baltimore, MD ever since prior to returning to Grand Rapids, MI in 2017.
